More Than Just Car Shopping with Cars.com

Disclaimer:This is a sponsored post with cars.com, all opinions are my own.
This collaboration with cars.com couldn't have come at a better time. We've been casually car shopping but with school starting up (less than 2 weeks!), we need to get more serious in our search.  New car shopping isn't something I usually enjoy. I like to do my research at home and then go into a dealership to check out the models that I'm interested in.  Used car shopping seems even scarier!
When researching this blog post, I found out the cars.com can be a valuable online destination for buying, selling, servicing and repairing cars. They connect consumers with dealers across the country and in your own neighborhood. We're looking for a used car so I was happy to see this screen to help narrow down our search.

It's a nice option to be able to filter used cars available by private owner or dealerships or both. Once you've made your selection, you can then search by brand, make, model, location, etc. If you're trading in a car, you can find out what your car is worth before negotiations begin.

Another nice feature is their review section where consumers can read up on the latest car news, browse reviews and videos and even do multi car comparisons.
The section for first time buyers sounds very useful too.
I was pleasantly surprised to find such an in depth service and repair section. Not only can you find repair shops and estimate cost of repairs, there's also a DIY auto repairs section with common services you can do yourself.    There are step by step written instructions and an accompanying video. There's also a difficulty rating given to each service; changing windshield wipers=easy and changing transmission fluid=halfway between easy and medium difficulty.  Pretty cool!Pin It
