I'm on a little roll here with my Christmas posts this week.
In case you missed them, they were:

Let's continue with this festive-ness, shall we?
Isn't this a fun wreath?
I saw this idea on Pinterest and wanted to try it this year.
Pinned from here.
I already had a pair of old ice skates that are usually hanging on a sled on the front porch during the holiday season.
{like this}
I took this picture when I checked out the lining of the skates. I was hoping it would be red plaid like Bliss' pair but alas, only hot pink.
Thank you Amber Bradley wherever you are.
Yes these were thrifted of course!

I used some excess trimmings from our tree and this faux garland from the the Store of Dollar.

I had this black frame too, it's usually up on the mantel.
I wrapped it with the faux garland.
I bought this sprig of green berries at the Dollar Store too.
I wrapped the sprigs in floral wire to make little bundles.
Then I wired it to the frame.
I had two floral pick from an old display. They add a little color.

I draped the skates over the frame by their laces.
I added some leftover red ribbon to the top part of the skates.
and some candy canes and greenery.
I used some floral wire to attach it to the front door.
It's heavy so make sure you have a good hanger for it.

Prepare to be dazzled....
From the inside....
and the outside...
It really pops on the front door!
Especially with my new house numbers.
So if you're keeping track of such things, I've spent $2 on this whole project.
I just had to gild the lily a little bit more and add some yarn pom poms.
What do you think, pom poms or no pom poms?
I can't decide!
